Diet and Diets

Is fat beautiful?
There are now so many kinds of diets you find on the market, at the chemist shop, in your favourite woman’s magazine and even those you hear on the bus going to work. So you don’t even know which one to choose. You will hear that there are even some people who have grown two sizes larger. And it’s only temporary, you think. But the problem for the moment is how to get into the clothes you have in the cupboard.
Do not despair! This is where the science of nutrition, fresh air and exercise comes into the picture. The main thing is to decide how and when to start. (I know all about it!) So before starting on a diet, it is most important to have a last (nourishing) meal, as you won’t be able to indulge in all those Mars Bars and the like. Then, the detoxifying stage sets in. You have to drink lots and lots of water to flush out your system from all that over-indulging of cigarettes, spirits and late hours.
Your track suits will have to come out (even if they are a little tight, it’s not their fault!) and you will have to start your day with a nice long walk in the fresh air and be careful not to work up too much of an appetite! When you get home, drink some more water to fill up the empty spaces inside you.
Then you will have to write down a reasonable balanced diet with all the calories you may require for the reasonable life you generally need. By this time your stomach has shrunk to reasonable proportions and it won’t be too hard to get back to reasonable living. In my opinion, you won’t need any one of the proposed yoghurt and mango, Vegan, Zen diets or any other fancy ideas people want to put into your heads. I’m sure you know your body needs very well. After all, you have known your own body for all the years of your life!
