Happy Halloween
Is it called Pumpkin day now or is it that wonderful orange colour of ripe Pumpkins created on purpose to warm the cockles of our hearts? Let us seek happiness during these miserable, rainy days heralding in sad Autumn. It's so nice and cheerful to see the wonderful colours of the falling leaves but when the rain sets in, the only alternative is to get Halloween costumes out of the cupboards, out of the trunks in the attic, out of everywhere and nowhere and off we go!
A trick or a tease and off the children will go begging for sweets and any old thing to chase away the shadows or what the shadows may hide. So we will be hearing the giggles from the shy ones and the reprimands from the bigger ones. Stand in line they will say and if you aren't serious enough, you will get a bucketful of water instead of goodies and cookies. Wouldn't it take a Scrooge indeed to resist such young charmers!
