Ingredients Italian white bread  4 large slices
Red onions  1 medium sliced onion
Basil  6 leaves
Ripe tomatoes  3
Cucumbers  1
Grape or apple Vinegar  1 teaspoon
Extra-virgin olive oil  3 tablespoons
Salt  to taste
Pepper  to taste

Preparation Bathe the slices of bread in a little cold water for 15 minutes Slice the cucumber, salt it and cover it with a weight for 10 minutes.
Then gently squeeze the slices of bread without breaking them and place them on a dish.

Rinse and dry the cucumber and slice it and place the slices on the bread together with the tomatoes. Wash the basil and cut it into pieces and then arrange them on the slices.
Season them all with olive oil, salt, pepper and vinegar.

Leave it awhile to acquire flavour before serving.
