Ingredients Beef stock  as required
Barley  half a cup
Carrots  2
Potatoes  1
Onions  1
Celery  a small stalk
Salt  to taste
Pepper  to taste

Preparation Bring enough water in a pot to a boil. Add the beef stock or cubes to give the recipe a taste. Add the barley to the pot.

Let it simmer for an hour and a half. Dice the vegetables finely and add. Add the salt and pepper according to your taste.

Let it all boil for another 30 minutes. Serve hot.
