Ingredients Mussels  a dozen
Pepper  4 teaspoons
Parsley  Plenty of chopped parsley
Lemon  optional

Preparation Scrape and wash the mussels. Put them into a large pan at high heat with a lot of freshly ground pepper and cover it.

Shake the pan often until the mussels open then add the parsley. When all the mussels are open serve them with their shells and their gravy and if you like, squeeze some lemon over them.
