Description
This was a splendid wine region under the Greeks and durino the years, it has always been famous for its vineyards although it is mainy mountainous. The weather however is good as there is an abundant rainfall and has a great potential in wine production.
Cirò Rosè is a still red wine to be drunk during meals. It is rose colour which may be either lighter or darker. This wine exists in the red and white versions as well as the rosè. The Ciro’ region is situated to the east of the sila, the Calabrian mountain range and comes down to the sea. Although the actual wine-growing activity is behind hand and much of the work is done by hand, the result is excellent and well known throughout Italy. It is considered one of the best Italian Rosè wines.
