Description
There is a place in Northern Italy called Bassano del Grappa in the Venetian region.
This region produces many wines and the must they make is used to distil and then to make Grappa.
Grappa is the result of the must taken from the wines and distilled afterwards for several days to produce Grappa. This is generally drunk in the northern part of Italy because of the cold climate. There are various types of Grappa which can also be found flavoured with juniper and other plants.
The juniper plant is placed inside the bottle before the distilled wine and given time it an agreeable original taste to the Grappa.
Grappa may vary - the classic type stays for at least 3 years. The reserve type is dedicated to connoisseurs and the milder type is made from mixtures of wine must distilled in small copper cauldrons.
